A home security system is an integrated network of various detectors, sensors and notification or alerting devices which are connected through wires or with wireless technology with a central hub or control panel which controls the working of the components attached to it and acts like the brain of the system. In the event of a unwanted situation, the relevant sensor/detector sends a signal to the hub and the hub processes it and thus raises an alarm and informs the respective owner. All home security systems work on the same basic principle of securing entry points, like doors and windows. The most basic definition of any security system is found in its name. It is literally a means or method by which something is secured through a system of inter-working components and devices.
